Unions should be advocating for pensions for all workers because retirement security is a critical issue that affects workers across all industries and occupations. The decline of traditional pension plans and the rise of RRSP plans and other individual retirement accounts have left many workers without adequate retirement savings, leaving them vulnerable to poverty and financial insecurity in their later years.

Unions have historically played a critical role in securing retirement benefits for their members. However, as more workers are employed in non-unionized jobs and the workforce becomes more fragmented, it is essential that unions advocate for pensions for all workers, not just their members. This will help ensure that all workers have access to retirement security, regardless of their industry or occupation.

Join us in an important conversation about expanding pensions to all workers!
